OL 2003 sendingmessages that are not there

Here's one. OL 2003 on XP Tablet. Each time a Send/receive happens, I get 2 errors on 2 POP accounts stating that a message for both accounts cannot be sent. Here's where it gets good. Neithr\er account has any messages to be sent in the Outbox! I have scanned the laptop twice, scanned all e-mail folders twice and ran Ad-Aware twice. The same issue persists. Any ideas? Any thoughts? Is it time to sacrafice a virgin?

I also have a client who is experiencing the same exact problem.
