Ive just installed Office 2003 on an XP professional
machine. Now several strange things have happened:
1. The cpu usage rate fluctuates between 65 and 80% with
Norton's NAVAPSVC.exe being the off and on program. I
turned OFF the Indexing Service and for some reason the
high cpu rate stopped. Never had the problem before..Why
Now?
2. My main Personal Folder in Outlook, brought over from
OutlookXP, has a "duplicate mirror folder" with same
contents, which I cant close or get rid of.
3. Some of my "email" subfolders appear in my Favorites
list for Contacts
4. On closure, the Outlook symbol remains in the task
bar, the application seems to remain running with the CPU
usage rate going up to 100% and the kernal at 50%
(probably damaging my pst file)
Why would all these things happen to a relatively normal,
clean pc after installation of Office 2003? Any hints on
what I can do about any of the four problems...
