According to help the /nopreview switch:
Starts Outlook with the Reading Pane off and removes the option from the
View menu.
Okay - it's half right. It does startup Outlook without the reading pane,
but the option is still on the View menu. Any one have an idea why? I could
remove the option from the menu manually, but that seems to defeat part of
the defined purpose of this switch. Initially I was worried this meant the
Reading Pane was not turned off for all folders, but it is. I'm just
wondering if this is a problem with Help (it's just wrong), another bug with
OL2003, or due to some other setting.
Thanks,
Mike
