I am getting a strange error to which I have found temporary work-aroun
solutions but don't have any idea how to really resolve the problem.
Problem:
After establishing an email account with "Download Public Folde
Favorites" Checked, I "Add to Favorites" a Public Folder Contact List.
I click the "Contacts" shortcut and after clicking the contact lis
under "Other Contacts", I receive an error message "Operation Failed
immediately. Clicking on the OK button results in normal operation an
the contact list is completely functional.
Work-Around:
Upon running OL2003, immediately clicking on the Calendar shortcut, o
directly clicking on the contact list within the Public Folder (not th
shortcut under "Other Contacts") will not result in the warning windo
"Operation Failed".
My Speculations:
I believe that this may be a pathing problem to which OL2003 canno
directly locate the contact list within the Public Folder. Upo
clicking it directly, I believe it is caching the path, so that when
click on the Contacts shortcut and then click on the contact grou
under "Other Contacts", I do not receive the error message.
I have no clue why clicking on Calendar affects this, but it hasn'
resulted in an error message so far when I click on the Calenda
shortcut, and then click on Contacts.
Any suggestions or ideas is kindly appreciated
