OLAP Cube failed - ODBC Error

E

Errin

I am having an issue with updating the OLAP Cube through
Project Web Access (PWA).

In the Admin tab, under Manage Enterprise Features, and
Update resource tables and OLAP cube, there is an error
message, cannot create OLAP Cube, after I click update.

The error in Cube status is:

The cube scheduled to be built on 8/23/2003 at 10:41 AM
failed.

(-2147221453) Cannot connect to the repository. OLAP
server: prw2kt98 Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]
Data source name too long

Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

Thanks,

Errin

The windows account you are logged on to the PC with does
not have permission to reate an OLAP cube. Make sure
that the account you use the first time has been added to
the OLAP Administrators Group on the machine SQL is
intsalled on. Then you will need to use An=alysis
Services Manager to add your account by managing roles on
the cube once it has been created by the account in the
OLAP Administrators group.

In the installation guide, pjsvr10.chm, see the instructions for migrating
the repository in the section "After installing Microsoft Project Server.

Did you remember to install the SQL Decision Support Objects on the Project
Server box?

I did verify that the repository had been migrated. It is
in the same directory as the project server tables.

Any suggestions on other areas to check?

Thanks for your help,

Errin
