Old email addresses appear

How do I make Entourage use the current email address for somebody I'm
sending an email to?
Of course, people change their email addresses, so if I know this I go
to the Entourage address book, go to the individual's record, into the
email tab and change the old email address to the new one. Then "Save"
before closing the address book.
BUT, when typing the name in the "To" field of an email, Entourage has
an annoying habit of completing the address with the old email. I've
checked the address book and the old address is nowhere to be seen.
Where is the old address coming from and how do I get rid of it?

Entourage stores the "recently used" addresses. You don't mention which
version of Entourage you are using.

If you are using Entourage X, you'll find a "Clear List" button in the "Mail
& News Preferences", "Compose Tab"

If you are using Entourage 2001, things will be a bit more sophisticated, as
there is no such button or other settings about it. See how to delete
