OneNote 12 - Working as a team with shared notebooks

Finally something interesting in OneNote 12. And I might add, it's a
beauty.

Will OneNote be an Inkable Wiki with pictures that is asynchronous ?
Without the need for Exchange ? Sorta like a "handwritten" long term
Instant Messaging with pictures ? If it works well it might be a
Document Creation revolution. If done well, it might even be a email
replacement in some respects.

It might actually be kind of a nice way to keep in touch with parents
and the like. You know, write a message here, write a message there.
No rush. Post a pic of your growing baby. Mom writes back "How cute"
with an arrow saying that Liam has your dimples.

I'd use this feature to synch all my office PCs with OneNote. Fritz is
going to love this.

I am not sure why this didnt occur to me earlier.

This asynchronous synching ... does it sound kinda peer to peer ish ?

We already do peer-to-peer in our shared sessions. But these are
synchronous. The shared notebooks I blogged about are not peer to peer
strictly speaking, but a server is not required if you designate one of the
participants as the "server".
