I'm just starting to use OneNote, my research notes tend to be organized in
a nested directory structure, with anything ranging from RTF files, bitmaps,
and now using a Tablet, Windows Journal files. Great for keeping track of
ideas by date, not so good for tracking the current state of something. I'm
thinking of OneNote for that, to complement my research notes. What I used
to use for this is Tasks in Outlook, and synched with my Pocket PC so I
could think things through anywhere. Problem is, with Windows Mobile 2003,
somebody took a step backwards: After editing a task, there is about a 30
second lag, a ten second pause after which the machine again goes into
hourglass mode for another 10-30 seconds. I have 1400+ items in the Task
database, but previous generation Pocket PC's handled it just fine. Sigh.
Which leads to my question: Is there any really good way to export
information from a (possibly large) subset of Tasks into OneNote pages? I
know I'll lose the database structure, but it might be worth it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
