Open Access database file and not maximize

I am using PowerPoint 2002.

I have created a hyperlink to open an existing Access
database file. When the action is activated all works as
expected except that when Access opens the Access window
is maximized. All of my efforts to resize the window
using VBA code in various events in Access have been to
no avail.

Is there any way to control this behavior? I would like
for Access to open in the exact size that I specify in
Access not as maximized.
