Open Office Document.lnk shortcut

Is there any way to determine the .exe that is actually being launched
with this shortcut (or New Office Document.lnk or even the other office
apps?)

I know where Word, Excel, etc. actually point, but how would a person
go about finding this out from the shortcut properties? Nowhere is the
..exe specified.

I need to set execute permissions for the corresponding program file on
our Terminal server.

Thanks kindly,

Jordan.

osa.exe

For Microsoft Office 97 and Microsoft Office 2000, it is generally in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office

For Microsoft Office XP (Microsoft Office 2002), it is generally in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE10

For Microsoft Office 2003, it is generally in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

Ah, right. Thanks Timothy.

Anyone know how to get this information out of the .lnk file itself? I
can't see the point of having it embedded in there without the ability
to view/edit it. Is it referenced in the registry somewhere?

Open the .lnk file in Notepad, and you'll see a string looking something
like this: D:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE (Office
2000).
