Opening attachments--or not

John E.

With Outlook 2002 on WinXP, when I double-click an attachment, I get the
usual Warning and only two choices: Download to Disc, or Cancel. Whatever
happened to the Open choice? This even happens with attachments I make to
my own emails before I send them. Is there a way for it to just 'open'?
And what would REALLY be nice, can I get rid of that warning message? I've
got the idea by now.
Thanks
John

Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

You only get this if when you've edited the Level1Remove registry key. By
default Outlook 2002 blocks all executables and scripts. It's better to have
these send to you in a compressed format like zip.
