Opening emi mail in Leopard

Monte

I have recently upgraded my Mac OS to Leopard which has been
relatively painless so far. However I have a friend that forwards me
mail regularly in a emi format. With OS 10.4 in Entourage I simply
double clicked on the emi file and it opened the mail. Now with
Leopard installed when I double click on the emi file it attempts to
setup the Maintosh mail program. Any suggestions on how to correct
this problem?

Thanks in advance.

If you receive the .emi file as an attachment then drag it to your
Desktop. Select File --> Get Info, locate "Open With", choose to open
with Entourage and then click the "Change All" button.

Although Entourage may be in the drop down menu, I've sometimes found
helpful to select "Other..." and manually choose the application. In
that window is an "Always open with..." checkbox too.

Hope this helps!

Drag one of these eml files to the desktop, do a 'get info' on it and change
the application used to open it to 'entourage'. Then click the 'change all'
button.
