When I open an Excel file it automatically resets the 'option - calculation'
setting from 'manual' (my usual setting) to 'automatic'. Upon carrying on
using the file the processing increasingly slows down in particular, I
notice, when inserting or deleting rows. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
the program (Office Basic 2003)and have Service Pack 2 and all updates. This
has not solved the problem.
Does anyone have any idea what can be happening and if so what to do about it?
I have reasonable quality antivirus etc operating.
