opening power point attachments in pps 2007

I have PP 2007 and everytime I try to open up a PPS file, power point keeps
trying to contact the server and it keeps trying to contact the server
without connecting. doesnt matter if I do it from an e-mail attachment or if
I download it to my desktop and try to open it then. any ideas?

Is it just one pps?
probably you (or the author) cut and pasted from the internet. What appears
to be a picture can have all sorts of code attached.

I dont know if its me or not but it happens with every pps file I get from
friends to look at the latest one is
(AstronautSunitaWilliamsPicsofEarth.pps). This usually the way I get them and
when I click on them I get asked if I want to open it or save it then if I
try to open it power point tells me in a small screen (Microsoft Office
PowerPoint) in the header and then in the text window it says (Contacting the
server for information) with a bar graft under it showing that it is busy
trying to connect to some server and a cancel button.

Not quite what my problem is its a files like this
(AstronautSunitaWilliamsPicsofEarth.pps) thats causing me difficulties.

Pretty sure its a file cause it tells me that its 2310kb and if I goto my
brothers house and use his computer it plays with no problems.

LOL sorry for my vaugeness, the latest file I have received is "
AstronautSunitaWilliamsPicsofEarth.pps" it is 2310kb big and it doesnt
matter if I try to open it from my e-mail or if I download it to my disk it
wont play on my computer as well as the other pps files I have saved in the
past. And yet if I e-mail them to my brother and drive all the way over to
his house I can open them up and watch them his e-mail without having to
download them.

TCWALL: Did you solve this problem... I am having the same one and do not
know how to get rid of it..
