Opening Word 97 - 2000 documents in MS OneNote 2003

When I click on INSERT - Document as Picture.

I cannot select a word document prior to Word 2003?

Are there ways around this?

I would also like to know if we can incorporate other MS packages prior to
2003.

No. All of OneNote's interoperability features require Office 2003.

There is a third party utility found at the link below which lets you insert
other applications' documents into OneNote. Any application from which you
can print will work.

You can insert a document created in Word97 or later, but you need to have
Word2003 installed to do this. (OneNote automates Word2003 to get the
document images, and the interface we use is only available in 2003)
