Org. Chart Borders Distort

We are running PowerPoint 97 on Windows 98. When we
insert an org chart into our PowerPoint presentation, the
border lines of the chart distort when placed on a slide.
If you minimize and then maximize the presentation, the
border lines will change on different boxes. Also, the
background color changes and won't print. It's different
everytime you open the presentation.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that would fix
this, or a patch/add-in?

Please help, I'm stumped.
