Hi Ed,

I have a need to view some .dbx files but I must
be able to search the Subject field.

The following freebie allows me to view the files
but has no search option. Is there any way to add
a search option like...Ctrl / F...to this viewer?

Suggestions of alternative software would be
appreciated also.

Thanks,

I can't get the download link on that software, so I can't see exactly what
functionality it has, but it seems it's written in Delphi, a language I know
less than nothing about, so I doubt I could extend the functionality in any
way.

http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx comes recommended,
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx is cheaper but doesn't do as
good a job normally. Either will allow you to do a search once the messages
are extracted

http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtend/Default.aspx is another alternative (same
place)

Thanks Ed...

Sorry about the link......I got a "Page
cannot be displayed" also...and then
it started working again.

I had tried to get an evaluation copy of
DBXtend from Steve Cochran but he
didn't reply to my e-mail. Apparently
you have to buy it before you try it.

Cheers
