Other Newsgroups

Obviously this isn¹t directly related to Entourage other than the fact that
I would like to access them through here, but How does one find other
similar newsgroups? Does Apple have a similar setup for their apps also.
Is there a directory or something like one?

Sorry if the question is dumb but I am learning a lot through this conduit
and would like to find out about others. ( I just found something about
verizon but I have to figure out how to engage it)

Check with your Internet provider, they may offer a Usenet newsgroup server
that connects with other such servers around the Internet and allows
discussion on numerous concievable topics.

The Macintosh newsgroups are located in the comp.sys.mac.* hierarchy.

If they don't, you can try Google Groups <http://groups.google.com/>, a
web-based interface for accessing newsgroups. In the meantime, you can take
a look at the list of newsgroups there to get an idea of what's out there.

Right. Note that those are not Apple-sponsored support forums like these
Microsoft-sponsored newsgroups. Another good place to look for Apple help
is the official Apple Discussions boards here:
<http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa>

Try a Google search using the term 'newsgroup lists' . You will get a
lot of setup info but entwined in the list will be the names of many
news groups. Note that some are by paid subscription only. Not all
newsgroups are free.
