Other People's Calendars

Tom Jermy

Hello,

Please could you tell me if it is possible to view other
peoples calendars from Entourage 2004 as was possible with
Outlook 2002 - and if so how?

Thanks,
Tom Jermy

In Entourage 2004, if you have set up an Exchange account with your Public
Folders server properly configured, you can view other people's free and
busy times if you create a calendar event and invite other Exchange users to
it. A second tab appears that shows free/busy data for the invitees.

Also, Entourage 2004 includes some new delegation features. They're
described in detail in Entourage Help. Basically, the user needs to
configure his or her mailbox in Outlook to allow delegate access to another
user, the delegate (this is described in more detail in Entourage Help).
Then, the delegate should open the Exchange account settings in Entourage,
and then click the "Delegation" tab. The delegate can then click the "Add"
button, type in the mailbox name of the other user, and click OK.

Mickey, I read the help in Entourage. We enforce SSL so our exchange server
is setup as https://etcetera

Delegate access is setup correctly but it always shows up as offline.

Is the SSL stopping the syncing? We currently use Exchange 2000. Will this
be fixed if we upgrade to Exchange 2003?

We've been waiting for this for so long and would love to get rid of OS 9
and Outlook 2001.

Thanks,
George
