Out box not transferred from Eudora 5.1 to Entourage 2001

Hi,

my out mailbox did not get imported during change from Eudora 5.1 to
Entourage 2001. All other mailboxes (including "trash" and "in") were
successfully transferred when I followed the standard import protocol
described in Entourage 2001. Can anybody help to fix this problem?

In the finder, copy the Outbox to the desktop, then change the name to
'out.mbox', and drag the mailbox into entourage's mail folder listing.

When importing from Eudora it often helps to compact all the mailboxes
first, by option-clicking in the 'size info' window in at bottom left of the
mailbox listing. This rebuilds the indexes and makes sure that there is no
corruption.

Thanks Barry. I tried it and it did not work (the file icon always flipped
back when I tried to drag it to the mailbox in entourage's mail folder
listing). Any other tips?

Try dragging the MBOX icon directly onto the Entourage program icon. Then,
when you are asked "Do you want to import the messages in this file into a
new folder?", choose to "Import". The folder should then appear in the
Folder List and your mail should become accessible.
