Out of memory or system resources. Whem opening Email attachments

Hello All, Please help as this one is starting to get on
my nerves, I have a win 2k Pc using OUtlook 2000. When i
try to open files attached to emails i get the following
message. Out of memory or system resources. Close some
windows or programs and try again. My machine is definatly
not out of Memory or sys resources. i've seen several
several articles on the microsoft support website but none
relate to this problem with attachments.

questions there are no restriction on the size of users
accounts and the are very few items in the deleted folder.
This problem has happened out of the blue with V.little
changing on the machine in question.
