Out of Office Assistant

I have a user trying to use out of office assistant, but
it is not automatically replying with his message. The
assistant is turned on. Any ideas?

Are the replies not going to anyone, or just external recipients? Also,
does the user have any rules defined which could be interfering with the OOA
rule?
