Out of office reply

How do you set up Entourage to produce an out of office reply? It is
so simple in Outlook so I am hoping that I am just overlooking it in
Entourage.

It's not supported in Entourage. You can use Outlook Web Access to do this.

I setup a Rule to automatically reply to messages, but the rule
doesn't appear to do anything.

For that matter, no rule seems to work. I only have one rule setup,
and this computer only uses a POP e-mail account.

Does anyone know why I couldn't use the Rules to auto-reply to a new
incoming mesage?

(yes, the 'enabled' check box is checked)

Incase anyone cares I also have the lastest patch for Entourage X
10.1.5

See example of an "out of Office" reply. Use with caution!!!! You can end up
spamming lists.

Has the message that you are trying to apply the rule to already been
processed by the Mailing List Manager? If so, is 'Do Not Apply Rules to List
Messages' checked under the MLM 'advanced' tab?

But that checkbox is on with good reason; like Diane said, you don't want an
out-of-office reply being sent to mailing lists over and over again.

Yet another frustrating example of how Microsoft keeps Entourage a
second-tier product when compared to Outlook! When will Apple come out with
a worthy email program that makes it unnecessary to use M$ products??
