Outbox and Sentbox

Messages which have been sent no longer disappear from the
Outbox and appear in the Sentbox. I can move any messages
from Outbox to DeletedItemsbox, and empty that box, thus
reducing the messages in Outbox. This has also reduced
size of .pst file from 288 MBs to 229 MBs.
But I cannot delete or move to DeletedItemsbox the
existing messages in the Sentbox. By "existing" I mean
those that were there before this problem occurred.
