Outgoing Mail server requires authentication

What reasons would you need to supply this information in your Outlook
settings??

Would there be a reason that you would need to have to seperate
accounts, say a pop3 and smtp with different credentials?

The reason for requiring authentication is so others, such as spammers,
can't use the server - authentication helps insure only account holders can
access the server.

If you have more than one account and your ISP prevents use of other SMTP
servers, you'll need to authenticate to the ISP's SMTP, not the one used by
the account.
