Outline Numbering

Hi all,

I have a list of information typed out
I am using Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3 levels.
When I go to number the list it appears all wrong.

I am using Format > Styles > Modify > Format > Numbering > Outline Numbering

Choosing a box with "Heading" in it.

Example of what I require:

2.1
2.1.1
2.1.1.1
2.1.1.2
2.1.1.3
2.1.1.4
2.1.2
2.1.2.1
2.1.2.2
2.1.2.3
2.2
2.2.1

etc.

Any suggestions?, it is really slowing me down.

Set up your outline numbering *exactly* as described at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html. If you want
your outline numbering applied to headings, then the numbering format you've
selected is appropriate, but note that you can link outline numbering
schemes to any styles you like.
