OUTLLIB.DLL illegal operation

Everytime I try to reply to a message a second time or
forward a message a second time I get you have preformed a
illegal operation error with this dll message
OUTLLIB.DLL. Then outlook locks up and I have to reboot.
I am using outlook 2k with service pack 3. HELP
