Outlook 2000 momentarily "hangs"

From time to time, my Outlook 2000 "hangs" (stops responding to mouse menu
clicks) for about 4 or 5 seconds. Then it picks up again and everything runs
normally.

I'm on Win-98, HP Pentium 500M, gobs of memory, with a 56K modem connection
to my ISP.
I also have a LAN 10BT connection to a switch and printer.

While in the "hung" state, there is no disk activity or network activity.

Please respond to this newsgroup and not the bogus email address I attached
to thwart spammers.

I too have exactly the same problem. Happens when clicking on the drop down
menu. Anyone got a solution to this???
