When I open an email, either the 1st or 2nd time, the 3rd row in the toolbars
is transparent and displaywhat is behind it (view of Outlook Inbox). It
retains that view if you move it or reply to it. After closing it and
reopening it, the email captures the new view which will move with it until
closing. Replies often display the same problem and it occurs in Personal
folder as well as Inbox emails as well as Sent emails.
This does seem to occur more frequently with Rich Text emails than Plain
Text. I receive few HTML emails, so can't comment. I have uninstalled
Office 2000 Pro and various add-ins and reinstalled Office 2 with no
add-iins.
I have 512MB memory on a Pentium M laptop, have the problem whether I'm in
my docking station wth a 1704FPV monitor or stand-alone, doubled the default
paging area, tried changing to 16bit color, tried lowering the screen area to
800x600, turned hardware acceleration down on the monitor, upgraded the
monitor adapter driver.
Has anyone else experienced this, heard about and/or know a fix or a lead on
where to check next?
