Outlook 2000 - use contacts as address book is greyed out

Hi

I have been reading various posts on related issues but none seem to hit
this one on the head. Am using Outlook 2000 Internet Mail configuration and
have many entries in the contacts folder but I cannot use them as the address
book as the check box in Contacts Properties Outlook Adddress Book tab, is
greyed out. I have seen some posts about adding an address book service but
the instructions must relate to a different version of Outlook.

I hope that someone can help.

You don't need to do anything. What makes you feel you do? In IMO the
Outlook Address Book is installed and
configured by default (that's why the option is ticked and grayed out). You
have no settings to make. Just select the correct folder to display in the
"Show Names from" dropdown in the address book.
