outlook 2002 account setup

sorry for the dumb question but didn't find any thing in help or google
but where are the acct settings for pop3 server, smtp server, using non
standard ports, etc., like in outlook2000, outlook express
the wizard/properties only has very abbreviated settings?????
whoever said it would be easy???

Tools-Email Accounts-change or add accounts-advanced (may be missing a step
or two - not at my Outlook 2002 machine)

not at my 2002 machine either, but am quite sure that i tried that, but
nothing there i saw, that stuff has to be somewhere
guess it will have to wait until tomorrow, but thanks for the reply

Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing e-mail accounts>Next. Select
the account. Click Change. Click the Advanced tab. The port settings are
there.

Whoops. I left out a step.

CLick Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing e-mail accounts>Next.
Select the account. Click Change, then More Settings, then the Advanced
tab.

hey, thanks for sticking with this
under more settings, i have a general and connection tab, neither one has a
command button for advanced????
i have 'other' for provider and www.comcast.net for server url
the 'connection' is lan

i didn't install this, its on a workstation i rent time on, but i do have
the cab files, i can't imagine 'advanced'is some type of install option,
these things are bottom line necessary to set up an email connection

ok thanks, i found it, its when settting up a new account, you have to
choose
pop3 as opposed to msn etc, then all the settings become available

found it, when creating a new email connection you have to chose pop3
instead of http, to get all the choices,
