Outlook 2002 attachments not being received

Why would attachments sent from Outlook 2002 not be received? The
attachments are not beyond the size limit allowed by my isp. File formats
are .txt or .doc.
The recepients are able to receive attachments ffrom others without issue.

Outlook attachments that are small in size go through, but larger
attachments (eg; 50kb's) do not.
Is there some sort of setting in Outlook that could prevent an attachment
beyond a certain size from being sent?
Does it matter how large the 'Sent Folder' is at all?
