Outlook 2002 Compatibility issues

I just recently upgraded to Outlook 2002 and everything
worked well. Today I sent a meeting notification out,
where I invited others from my address book as usual.
Each recipient of my meetings invite, who is running
Outlook 2002 or 2003 received the message just fine.
Others, however, who are still using Outlook 2000 on their
system received a completely garbled message.

Is ther something I can do to rectify this from happening
in the future, or can this only be soved by everyone else
upgrading to 2002 or higher?

If the meeting invitations are being sent out in iCalendar format, there is
a known issue where meeting requests sent from Outlook 2002 (perhaps 2003
also, not sure) with reminders set on them will not be received properly in
Outlook 2000. Try removing the reminder and then resend the meeting request
to the Outlook 2000 clients.
