Outlook 2002 delay in opening

I use Outlook2002 (10.2627.2625) on Windows XP Professional. m/c. p4 laptop

My problem is that when you open outlook it opens but the outlook logo stays without closing for a long time i.e. about a minute or so. Everything else is fine.This seems un-usual as the problem started recently. Please,if some one knows the exact problem help me with a remedy

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.
