I
Itty
Outlook 2002 SP3 no longer sends out my emails. Oh, it moves them to
the outbox and "sends" them, but they never arrive anywhere.
This is very annoying. I have changed my outgoing port from 25 to
another number, but that solution doesn't work as Comcast, my ISP uses
port 25 for outgoing mail.
In fact, I have 2 other computers (not using Outlook 2002) that send
and receive email just fine using Outlook 2003. I need to keep using
Outlook 2002 on this PC as an "upgrade" to Outlook 2003 is not an
option for a variety of reasons.
This occured after finally downloading the .net framework 1.1 and some
microsoft patches (which don't show up as being able to be
uninstalled). I have deleted and recreated the email accounts and
checked all settings a dozen times.
Any ideas? There are NO ERROR MESSAGES. The mail just goes into the
outbox and then into the sent mail folder, but IT NEVER GETS DELIVERED
to ANY target/test accounts. Speaking of which the "test email"
function DOES send an email, but normal operation of Outlook 2002
doesn't.
Hopefully someone has a constructive solution. Please help. Thanks.
