I have seen scattered posts on this but no real answers -
I set up a simple rule: if an email comes in with the word "game" in the
subject line move it to a folder called MyGoodGames.
The rule works if the game server I play on sends only one game. but if I
have 2 or more emails in my inbox (back to back) that have "game" in the
subject line, outlook locks up and has to be shut down.
I am running Outlook 2002 with sp-2. The rule was created with the drop
down menu. Verizon is my dsl provider and I believe it is set up as a POP3
account. the hardware has 500 meg ram, 10+ gig free hard disk space. 2.x
gig processor, windows XP professional os.
As long as I do not use rules outlook never locks up. like clock work, add
a rule, receive 3 emails that meet the criteria in a row, and the program
locks up.
Any help would be appreciated.
