Outlook 2002 SP1 hangs during spell check

Occasionlally (10% of the time)Outlook hangs immediately
when I start a spell check, with no error message. As
per article Q294653, Office XP was repaired, and I even
tried removing Spanish support altogether (mssp3es.dll
seems to be the Spanish dictionary)

Has anyone else see this and/or has a cure ?
