Outlook 2002 Stops responding

I'm running an IBM Thinkpad T40 with Windows XP. My
Outlook 2002 stops responding after I try and enter a
calendar or task entry. I don't use it for email (lotus
notes). When it stops responding I check the task
manager and I have two seperate Outlook 'programs' on the
task line not responding. Has anyone seen this before?
