I have been experiencing the above (occasional) problem while using
Outlook 2002 to download messages from one of my email accounts - the
program stops retrieving the mail and continues displaying the
send/receive window until I cancel the retrieve operation and close the
window. On trying to download again, the same thing happens - in fact it
keeps on happening (with the program stopping while downloading the same
message) each time I try to retrieve the mail. I can only remove the
problem by accessing the mail account using the webmail facility offered
by the ISP and deleting the messages from the server.
I have run the Fix and Repair utility twice but the problem persists.
The ISP insists that the problem is not on their end even though the
problem has only ever occurred with their server. I have re-checked the
account settings and they appear OK.
Can anyone suggest another option to solve the problem?
