Outlook 2002 trouble sending attachments

I could send attachments fine until three days ago. I am using Microsoft Outlook 2002, Dell w/Windows XP, McAffe virus scan and firewall. Have tried everything to no avail- disabling McAffe, switching security settings, switching HTML to plain text.... Any suggestions on how to solve this problem sending attachments?
