After upgrading MS 2003 from 2000, I lost the address book that was i
Outlook 2000. How do I restore the book that I had? Or do I have t
re-establish the address book

Outlook has no address book. Be more specific. What exactly did you lose?
The contents of your Contacts Folder?
The Address Book's view of those Contacts?

I just read another post that said upgrading to OL2003 can replace the
Outlook Address Book service with the LDAP Directpry services. Click
Tools>Email Accounts. Click the "View or change existing directories or
address books" radio button and click Next. Select the LDAP service and
click Remove. Click Add, locate the Outlook Address Book service and add it
back in.
