Outlook 2003 and e-mails

Sorry of this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer on
Google Groups and Office help is virtually useless - unless I am looking
in the wrong place!

Let me say that I am not used to using any Microsoft e-mail software and
so I need talking to slowly!

I am running Windows XP with Office Pro 2003 and am trying to set up
Outlook 2003 to take our mail.

We have 6 users set up on Windows XP and ideally I would like to be able
for each user to receive only their own e-mails based on the ID that
they sign in with.

I am trying to use addresses such as (e-mail address removed),
(e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed).
(These are the user names in Windows XP

First problem is that Outlook does not like receiving some mail. The
mail is there (I have seen it on web-mail) but will not download. Some
are actually downloaded!

Any ideas how I am going wrong?

Secondly, how can I direct the mail to the users mailbox when I do get
it down?

Thanks in anticipation!

first, if you use different user names, they shall mean different profiles,
thus, different accounts in Outlook.
