Hi

I have a excel spred sheet with 1300 contacts in it, i have some problems importing them into Outlook 2003 a lot of the contacts are not imported
Is there a limit on how many contacts you can have?
or am i doing something wrong

Here is what i have done

I have exported my contacts to a spread sheet and then added a lot of contacts and then tryed to import it again without success

You are far below what the item count limit is.

Outlook 97-2002 Personal folders
65,000 items per folder
(max file size for pst is 2GB)

Personal Folders (unicode) personal folders
Unknown limit
(artificial limit on pst is 20GB)

Exchange mailbox:
Limited by administrative policy (default is no limit)

In this case, I would take a look at the file in notepad or write and verify
the layout of the csv file. Look for extra commas or text fields that
aren't delimited correctly on the lines that didn't import correctly.

Please heeeelp.
I have outlook 2000. All of a sudden, I got the message that I have reached
maximum size. I get the message that I should delete some of the message by
using CTRL, ALT, DEL to get rid of unwanted mails.
I tried to delete by this method but the messages will not get deleted. I
have very important mails and cannot afford to lose them.
I checked the Pst file and it is 2gb.

I cannot open mails or receive any.
I am using WinXP.

I need help. If e-mailing use (e-mail address removed)

I really, really need help.

What has that got to do with the subject of this thread?

WARNING: Perform the steps on a copy of your existing PST file because you
are going to lose data. I just don't know what or how much.

In the mean time, create a new PST file via File | New and set it as your
default delivery location. This should give you time to keep getting new
items while working with the corrupted PST file.

/neo

ps - to set the new pst as a default delivery location, the steps vary based
on what mode Outlook was installed in. If Internet Mail Only mode (you have
a Tools | Accounts in Microsoft Outlook), you need to right click on
"Personal Folders" (the one that doesn't have outlook today next to it) and
select properties. There should be a checkbox at the bottom of the dialog
box. If Corp/Workgroup (you have a Tools | Services), you go into tools |
services | delivery and change the drop down.

You are... When filling out the import wizard, there is a place that you
specify the file name and right below is a set of 3 options on how
duplicates should be handled. Which did you choose?

FWIW, you can import into any contacts folder. This will give you time to
work out the bugs in the import w/out messing up the final destination
folder. :)
