Outlook 2003 Event Reminder Unhides the Taskbar

Sam Fertel

I tried posting this last week in m.p.windowsxp.general, but I had no
response. Sorry for the second posting in this group. I would really
appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

I know this is trivial, but it is also annoying. I have WinXP
Pro, but I think this is a standard Windows response to an Outlook
reminder. Everytime Outlook 2003 sets an event reminder it must be
acknowledged before the taskbar will again hide. There are times when
I really don't want to stop to acknowledge the reminder--I want to
keep working. One would think the reminder would be sufficient, sans
the taskbar appearing. Is there a setting either in Outlook or the
registry that will keep the taskbar from reappearing in response to an
event reminder? I would like for it to appear only when I put the
cursor to the taskbar or press the windows key.

Thanks.

Bill
