Outlook 2003 Labels to Word 2000

I purchased outlook 2003. Still use Word 2000. Can't merge labels from OUtlook 2003 to Word 2000. Says I need Word 2003. Must be a way. The product box did not say I needed to upgrade the entire suite. Bad form. Any help would be appreciated

Export from Outlook to a .csv file, then use that file as the data source
for the Word mail merge.
