I am all for security, but when it gets in the way..look out! :^)
Operating System XP Pro 2002 SP 1 (build 2600)
Office 2003/Outlook 2003 ver. 11 (build 5608)
Here is two of my problems:
1. I can open Outlook 2003 and attach a file to an email and send without
problems. When I am on the Net, and go through IE I try to send a link.
Outlook strips the .com or .html or what ever the extension is from the
link, making the link useless.
2. If I need to send a file from my hard drive to someone and use the "Send
To" option with the right click, I get the new mail window with the
attachment but it tells me "the message was not sent" (no explanation). If I
try and send it, by clicking SEND, it does not do anything. (this sounds
like an issue with Outlook 2003 and XP Pro) I have tried to redirect the
MAPImail to outlook (as MS Support suggests) but does not help. Also edited
the registry to allow certain files to come in ..but that does not solve the
above problems.
If anyone can assist me or at least send me to resources that could answer
this problem, I would be very grateful!
