Outlook 2003 locks up sending large attachments and duplicates

The email with a large (1.5mb) attachment stays in the
Outbox, it is not transferred in the Sent Items folder.
I try to delete it or transfer it back to the Draft
folder but can not. From time to time I get a message
from Trend Micro: Scanning outgoing email. The email
is sent several times until I can finally delete it.

I found the solution in this Newsgroup:

To fix this problem, set Time Out to 10 minutes.
