Top-rule (1st):
Apply this rule after message arrives
with *an-address-name* in sender'address
and with *word* in the subject
delete it
and mark it as read
and stop processing more rules
Bottom-rule (5th):
Apply this rule after message arrives
where my name is not in the To box
delete it
and stop processing more rules
What is actually happening is the email I'm trying to filter-out with rule
#1 also fits the bottom-rule, but Outlook acts as if it is processing the
bottom rule FIRST. The msg is in the Deleted folder but unread.
If rule #1 were being processed in order the msg should be Deleted + marked
read. Note the "stop processing more rules."
OK, what is wrong?
