Outlook 2003 send problem

I have seen any number of posts that indicate the following is a
common problem. But I have not yet seen a solution, either here or on
the Microsoft web site.

If I have just missed it, I apologize in advance.

Here's the problem.

Outgoing mail.

I do NOT have the mailer set to send immediately (I always want the
option ot check an email again).

SOME emails that show up in the out book are not italicized and have
"None" listed under date.

In the past versions of Outlook this would occasionally happen. The
solution was simple: reopen the message and click "send" again. It
would then appear in the outbox appropriately, and go out with the
next send/receive.

Not with 2003 -- at least not now.

Now it sits there, and there isn't anything I can do to get it to
send. I cannot even copy the message again (to the same person).

Opening and closing outlook doesn't help.

Rebooting doesn't help.

I have to go to webmail to send it. [That is where this message is
coming from!]

But two days later, mail to that person may go out just fine.

I am stumped. But this is very annoying.

One thing. I don't think it did this when I first installed Office
2003 Pro about 2 months ago.

It seems it started after I installed the windows fax driver.

BTW, I am running the latest Office 2003 patches.

Hugh...any responses or luck solving this problem? I have
same trub. Message sent using "Test Account Settings"
works fine, but "new" or "reply" messages hang in the
Outbox. I've seen several postings since your message on 9
June, but no solutions. M$ got us this time! troy
