It appears that when you open an e-mail message in Outlook 2003 which
contains a UNC share in the text, Outlook tries to access the share. This is
fine if the share is local and online, but isn't very good if the share is,
for instance, on someone else's network. The access blocks Outlook until it
times out (about two minutes).
